This precious early cherry variety, which ripens only 3 to 4 days after ,Burlat', has aromatic fruits which can be picked easily from the tree because they hang singly and freely. ,Kasandra' is very well suited for commercial fruit growing as well as for house gardens and allotment gardens.

GROWTH: quite strong, spherical wide crown, well garnished with fruiting branches

BLOSSOM: medium-early/medium, S-Allele S1S3 (source: 'JKI - Dr. Mirko Schuster'); pollinator in comparable ripening time i. e.: ,Early Korvik' (S), ,Kordia', ,Schneiders späte Knorpel'; pollinator with different ripening time i. e.: ,Carmen' (S), ,Canada Giant ' ®, ,Sumgita' (S), ,Summit', ,Giorgia', ,Skeena' (S)

RIPENESS: 3rd cherry week, about 2 to 4 days after ,Burlat'

APPEARANCE: heart-shaped cherry, dark red, wide and spherical, large fruits, long stem

QUALITY: quite firm flesh, softer than ,Burlat', well tinting juice

TASTE: sweet, aromatic, full-flavoured, fine acidity

CROP YIELD: medium-early, average/high yields

SPECIAL NOTES: This variety is suited for intensive planting, not recommended if high risk of Monilia.
